Sporting 77 is a youth football club based in Braintree, Essex, CM7 5SS.

We strive to give boys and girls the opportunity to improve their soccer skills.

We like to include the whole family.

SPORTING LEAGUE CUP FINAL WIN

Congratulations to Sporting 77 Under 9 Eagles who have won their League Cup final against Baddow Spartak B. The tie was held at the home of Burnham Ramblers on Saturday 25th April 2009, and The Eagles ran out 4-1 winners. Well done to Mike & Shaun and the Eagles players.

SPORTING 77 PUMAS PROMOTION

Congratulations to Sporting 77 Under 9 Pumas who have gained promotion to the top division of the Blackwater & Dengie League. They finished up as Runners-up after winning all but 2 of their League matches. Well done Matthew, Damien and the Pumas players.

SPORTING HOME UNDER THREAT

Sporting 77's home at Deanery Hill is under threat when the new Local Plan is issued in 2011. Our ground has been earmarked for residential development, which would mean Sporting 77 and The Braintree BMX Club would have to find a new home. It would also be a loss of an Open Grassland area for the residents of the nearby housing estates. In the current Local Plan our ground at Deanery Hill is classified as Open Space, we would appreciate any help possible to keep this classification in the next Local Plan.

SPORTING 77 UNDER 14 GIRLS

Sporting 77 Under 14 Girls were selected to do some training exercises on the Wembley Stadium pitch, before the Community Shield match between Manchester United and Portsmouth on Sunday 10th August. Altogether 50 member of the Sporting 77 Club attended the match, and we would like to thank McDonalds Braintree & The FA for organising the event.
